Biography
In 1628, he joined the Guild of Saint Luke. Disciple of Guilliam Anthoni in Antwerp. He is documented in Paris in 1645. He returned to Antwerp around 1650. He went on to become dean of the Guild of Saint Luke.
He worked for Matthijs Musson and Guillam Forchondt, important Antwerp art merchants. His relationship with them would explain the wide dispersion of his work, and with a large part of it located in Spain.
According to Sanzsalazar (2008), p. 260-261 not identical to the Monogrammist AW.
