Biography

Son of the painter Martín Gómez the Elder. He worked with his father and later independently in various places in what is now the diocese of Cuenca.

He often worked with sculptors on polychromy and gilding.

He painted an image of Our Lady of the Conception, carved by Giraldo de Flugo for the chapter of the Vera Cruz de Belmontejo (1578). That same year both artists made a crucifix for the church of Culebras, a work similar to the one they worked on for Zaorejas (Cuenca) in 1580.
